Constructing a massive fortified base in Sons of the Forest can be an exhausting logistical challenge. For community project builds or creative-focused servers, you can utilize hidden developer flags to bypass material requirements and movement restrictions, allowing you to focus entirely on the design.

Log Hacking

Logging is the most time-consuming part of the game. Enabling the “Log Hack” allows you to place infinite structures without depleting your hands.
  1. Activate Console: Ensure you have typed cheatstick (detailed here) and pressed F1.
  2. The Command: Type loghack on.
  3. Usage: Pick up a single log. As you place it into a blueprint or onto a wall, a new log will instantly appear in your hands. You never need to return to the forest for more wood.

Structural Shortcuts

In addition to infinite materials, you can enable these building aids:
  • Instant Build: instantbookbuild on. Any ghost-blueprint you place will be instantly completed as soon as you look at it.
  • Super Jump: superjump on. Allows you to leap over defensive walls and onto rooftops to inspect your work from above.
  • Fall Damage: setvariation 1 (Can vary). We recommend using godmode on while building at heights to prevent accidental death from scaffolding falls.
