The Migration Process

  1. Locate Your PC File: On your home computer, navigate to: Documents \ My Games \ Terraria \ Worlds
  2. Connect via SFTP: Use an FTP client to access your FREAKHOSTING server and navigate to the /Saves/Worlds/ directory.
  3. Upload: Transfer your .wld file to the server.
  4. Configuration:
    • Open your serverconfig.txt.
    • Set world=Saves/Worlds/YourWorldName.wld.
    • Set worldname=YourWorldName.
  5. Restart: Reboot the server to initialize the uploaded world.

Common Failures

If the server generates a fresh world instead of loading your upload:
  • Case Sensitivity: Linux servers distinguish between MyMap.wld and mymap.wld. Ensure your configuration matches the uploaded filename exactly.
  • Pathing Error: Ensure the world= string in your config accurately points to the subdirectory where you uploaded the file.
