Professional File Management with FileZilla

FileZilla is a high-performance, open-source SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) client that allows you to manage your server files with greater efficiency than a standard web browser. By using FileZilla, you can easily upload massive map files, download full server backups, and organize your directories through a familiar drag-and-drop interface.

  1. Visit the FileZilla official website and download the Client version for your OS (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
  2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  3. Launch the application once installation is complete.

Step 2: Connect to Your Server

To connect, you need your unique SFTP details from the Game Panel.
  1. Log in to the Game Panel.
  2. Select your server and navigate to the Settings tab.
  3. Copy the SFTP Details (Host, Port, and Username).
Settings Tab GamePanel
  1. In FileZilla, enter these details into the Quickconnect bar:
    • Host: sftp://[Your Host Address]
    • Username: [Your SFTP Username]
    • Password: [Your Game Panel Password]
    • Port: [Your SFTP Port]
Filezilla Connection

Step 3: Transferring Files

  • Local Files: Located on the left panel (your computer).
  • Remote Files: Located on the right panel (your server).
  • Upload: Simply drag files from the left to the right.
  • Download: Drag files from the right to the left.

Connection Speed

For transferring thousands of small files (like a Dynmap folder), we recommend zipping them first, uploading the single ZIP file, and then using the Game Panel’s File Manager to unarchive it.
