Automating Your Server Tasks


Configuring schedules, or cron jobs, in the Game Panel is a game-changer. These automated tasks ensure your server maintains peak performance with minimal manual effort through routine maintenance.

Step 1: Access the Schedules Tab

  1. Log in to the Game Panel.
  2. Select your server.
  3. In the sidebar, navigate to Configuration > Schedules.

Step 2: Create a New Schedule

  1. Click the Create Schedule button.
  2. Schedule Name: Give it a clear name (e.g., “Daily Restart”).
  3. Cron Expression: Define the timing.
    • 0 0 * * * = Every day at midnight
    • */5 * * * * = Every 5 minutes
  4. Settings: Choose if the schedule should run only when the server is online.

Step 3: Add Tasks to Your Schedule

A schedule is just a timeline; you need to add Tasks to tell it what to do at those times.
  1. Click into your new schedule and hit New Task.
  2. Action: Select from:
    • Send Command: Type a console command (e.g., say Server restarting in 60s).
    • Send Power Action: Choose Start, Stop, or Restart.
    • Create Backup: Automatically safeguard your data.
  3. Time Offset: How long to wait after the previous task before starting this one.
