Modernizing Assetto Corsa
Although released in 2014, Assetto Corsa remains a top-tier simulator thanks to two community projects: Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch (CSP). These tools are mandatory for joining most modern servers.

Step 1: Content Manager (The Launcher)
Content Manager replaces the slow and outdated vanilla launcher with a high-performance interface.- Download Content Manager from acstuff.ru.
- Drag the contents to your Desktop and run the
.exe. - Direct the app to your Steam root folder. From now on, you should only launch the game via Content Manager.
Step 2: Custom Shaders Patch (CSP)
CSP adds much-needed features like night lighting and optimized multiplayer physics.- Open Content Manager.
- Navigate to Settings (top right) → Custom Shaders Patch.
- Click the Install button. It will automatically download the latest recommended version.
- (Optional) For specialized Rain FX, you must support the creator (x4fab) on Patreon to receive the preview builds.
Step 3: Sol & Pure (Weather Engines)
To see the dynamic weather correctly when joined to a FREAKHOSTING server:- Download Sol or Pure from RaceDepartment or Patreon.
- Drag the downloaded
.zipdirectly into the Content Manager window. - Use the install button in the top right “Hamburger” menu.
- In Settings → Video, select your weather script (e.g., “Sol 2.5”).
