Racing on New Frontiers

Adding custom tracks like Shutoko Revival Project or Akina requires manual file synchronization between the server and the client. Due to the high file size of tracks, specialized upload methods are required.

Step 1: Uploading Track Data

Track files in Assetto Corsa can exceed 500MB. We recommend using an SFTP client (like FileZilla) for stability.
  1. Connect to your server via SFTP.
  2. Navigate to the /content/tracks/ directory.
  3. Upload the entire track folder.
    • Verification: Ensure that the folder contains a .kn5 file and a models subdirectory.

Step 2: Server Activation

  1. In your FREAKHOSTING Game Panel, go to the Startup tab.
  2. Update the Track variable with the exact folder name you uploaded (e.g., akina_2017).
  3. Layout Selection: If the track has multiple configurations (e.g., Downhill, Uphill), define it in server_cfg.ini:
    • TRACK=akina_2017
    • CONFIG_TRACK=downhill

Step 3: Capacity Adjustments

If your new track has 30 pit boxes, but your entry_list.ini only defines 10 cars, only 10 players can join.
  • Open entry_list.ini and ensure you have enough [CAR_X] blocks to match the track’s pit box capacity.
