Managing Your Palworld Server

Administrative control in Palworld is handled through a global password system. Unlike other survival games that use player whitelists or “OP” status, any player who possesses your server’s admin password can execute commands to manage the world.

Authentication

To use admin commands, you must first log in within the game’s chat interface.
  1. Join your Palworld server.
  2. Open Chat (Press Enter).
  3. Log In: Type the following:
    /AdminPassword <YourSecretPasswordHere>

  4. Success: A notification will appear in the system log: Admin Password Matches.

Essential Commands

Server Control

  • /Save: Forces the server to save the current world state to disk immediately.
  • /Broadcast {Message}: Sends a golden global announcement to all active players.
  • /Shutdown {Seconds} {Message}: Schedules a graceful shutdown with a countdown.
  • /DoExit: Immediately stops the server (Use only if shutdown fails).

Player Management

To manage players, you will need their SteamID (64-bit) or PlayerUID, which can be found via /ShowPlayers.
  • /ShowPlayers: Lists details of every player currently connected.
  • /KickPlayer {SteamID}: Removes a player from the session.
  • /BanPlayer {SteamID}: Adds a player to the permanent ban list.
  • /TeleportToPlayer {SteamID}: Instantly moves your avatar to their location.
  • /TeleportToMe {SteamID}: Summons the targeted player to your location.

Handling Character Limits

Palworld’s in-game chat has a limited character buffer. If a command or steamID is too long, the game may cut it off. We strongly recommend using an RCON Tool for easier ID copying and complex moderation tasks.
