How to Install UE4SS (Modding Framework) in Palworld

Unlocking Advanced Modding: UE4SS

To run powerful server-side scripts like anticheats, slot injectors, or economy mods, you need the UE4SS (Unreal Engine 4 Scripting System). This framework injects code into the game engine to allow Lua and C++ mods to function on your dedicated server.

Installation Steps

1. Download: Obtain the latest UE4SS_v3.0.0.zip (or newer) from the official GitHub repository.
2. Upload: Navigate to /Pal/Binaries/Win64/ and upload the ZIP contents.
   • You should see dwmapi.dll, UE4SS.dll, and a Mods/ folder in this directory.
3. Headless Configuration: Open UE4SS-settings.ini and set GuiConsoleVisible = 0.
   • Important: If this is set to 1, the server will attempt to open a window on our host system and crash immediately.

Activating Mods

1. Place your mod folder into /Pal/Binaries/Win64/Mods/.
2. Open the mods.txt file in that same folder.
3. Add a line for your mod followed by a : 1 to enable it (e.g., MyModName : 1).
