Accelerated Growth: Breeding Settings
On official “Hard” settings, hatching a massive egg can take up to 72 real-life hours. For most community servers, this is far too slow. By adjusting the PalEggDefaultHatchingTime multiplier, you can make hatching take minutes or even happen instantly.

Configuration Steps
- Access Settings: Open your
/Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini file.
- Hatching Multiplier: Locate the variable
PalEggDefaultHatchingTime=1.000000.
- Adjusting Speed: This value works as a direct multiplier of time.
| Desired Speed | Value | Result |
|---|
| Vanilla | 1.0 | 72 hours for huge eggs. |
| Fast | 0.1 | ~7 hours for huge eggs. |
| Very Fast | 0.01 | ~40 minutes for huge eggs. |
| Instant | 0.0 | Eggs hatch the moment they are placed. |
Production Speed
To speed up the actual “making” of the eggs in the Breeding Farm, locate:
WorkSpeedRate=1.0: Increasing this (e.g., 2.0) makes Pals finish tasks faster, though they will consume hunger more rapidly as a trade-off.
