V Rising has no server setting that shortens servant hunts (missions). The game’s settings file has no hunt time key. On a dedicated server you can change two related things in save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json: ServantConvertRateModifier (how fast captured humans turn into servants, 0.25 to 6, default 1.0) and DropTableModifier_Missions (how much loot hunts bring back, 0.25 to 3, default 1.0). Restart the server to apply them.

Is there a setting for servant hunt time?

No. The settings Stunlock Studios ships in ServerGameSettings.json have no key for hunt or mission duration. Keys you may find in older guides, such as ServantMissionTimeModifier, are not V Rising settings and the game ignores them. When you send servants out, you choose the hunt length in game. Shorter hunts are riskier and bring back less. To get more out of each hunt, raise the loot multiplier instead.

Stop the server

Stop the server.

Open your game settings file

In the File Manager, open save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json. If it doesn’t exist, create it from the default file first: see server settings explained.

Change the values

Set the multipliers you want, for example:

Check the preset

On the Startup page, leave Game Settings Preset empty so your file is used.

Start the server

Save the file and start the server.
3.0 converts servants three times as fast as normal. 2.0 doubles hunt loot.

Do servants keep hunting when you are offline?

Yes. Your dedicated server keeps running when you log off, so hunts carry on and finish while you are away. They only pause if the server itself is stopped.

Why are my servant hunts still slow after changing a setting?

There is no hunt time key, so no value changes hunt length. Check that you edited a real key such as DropTableModifier_Missions, saved the file and restarted.

What does ServantConvertRateModifier do?

It changes how fast a captured human in the Servant Coffin becomes a servant. It does not change hunt time.

Can I have more servants?

Yes. Raise ServantLimit for each Castle Heart level under CastleStatModifiers_Global > HeartLimits (0 to 35).

Do I need a mod to shorten hunts?

Hunt duration is not a server setting, so only a mod could change it. Our standard V Rising server runs the unmodded game.
