V Rising has no way to reset single map chunks: the map of Vardoran is fixed, not generated. To wipe your whole server, set a new Save Name on the Startup page (for example world2) and restart; the server creates a fresh world and keeps the old one in its own folder. To free land taken by inactive players, let their castles run out of Blood Essence and decay, then destroy them.

Can you reset map chunks in V Rising?

No. Unlike games with generated worlds, V Rising uses one hand-made map, and there is no command or setting to regenerate part of the map. Your options are a full wipe or clearing old castles.

How to wipe your V Rising server

Back up first

Make a panel backup so you can return to the old world.

Set a new Save Name

Open Startup and change Save Name from world1 to a new name, such as world2.

Restart

Restart the server. The console shows Startup Completed when the new world is ready.

Tell your players

Everyone starts again from scratch. Players keep nothing from the old world.

The old world stays in save-data/Saves/v4/world1/. Delete that folder with the File Manager once you are sure you don’t need it, to free disk space.

How to clear abandoned castles

A castle’s heart burns Blood Essence. When it runs out, the territory and its buildings start to decay, and a decaying castle can be destroyed by other players. To clear abandoned castles faster, raise CastleDecayRateModifier (default 1.0, up to 3) in save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json and restart. See castle decay.

Does changing Save Name delete my old world?

No. The old world stays in its own folder. Set the old name again to go back.

Will a wipe keep my game settings?

Yes. Your Startup variables and save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json stay the same. Because the new save is created with your current rules, a wipe is also the cleanest way to apply big rule changes.

Can I wipe automatically every few weeks?

The game has its own reset schedule settings, but our panel doesn’t offer them as Startup variables. Wipe by hand with a new Save Name, or open a ticket to ask about scheduled resets.
