To change the clan size on a V Rising server, open save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json in the File Manager, set "ClanSize" to the number of players you want per clan (1 to 50, default 4), save and restart the server. ClanSize is a game setting, so it lives in the game settings file, not in the Game Panel’s Startup page.

Stop the server

Stop the server.

Open your game settings file

In the File Manager, open save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json. If it isn’t there, create it from the default file in VRisingServer_Data/StreamingAssets/Settings/; see server settings explained.

Set ClanSize

Change the value, for example for clans of up to 8 players:

Leave the preset empty

On the Startup page, keep Game Settings Preset empty. Presets bring their own clan size.

Save and start

Save the file and start the server.

What clan size should I choose?

The Game Settings Preset options SoloPvP and DuoPvP are built for one- and two-player clans. Use your own file if you want a different number.

What do clan members share?

Clan members play as one group: for example, they can use each other’s waygates, and CastleHeartLimitType can count castles per clan. In PvP, a bigger clan means larger raid groups, so keep the size low on competitive servers.

What is the maximum clan size in V Rising?

The game accepts 1 to 50. The default is 4.

Do I need to remake my clan after changing ClanSize?

No. Restart the server and the new limit applies. If a clan is already larger than a new, lower limit, test the change before you lower it on a live server.

Why is my clan still limited to 4?

Check that ClanSize is in save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json, that the file is valid JSON, that Game Settings Preset is empty and that you restarted. See settings not applying.
