V Rising Loot, Resource Yield and Crafting Rate Settings

To change resource yield, loot, crafting speed or trader restock on a V Rising server, edit the multipliers in save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json and restart. For example, "MaterialYieldModifier_Global": 2.0 doubles resources from gathering, "CraftRateModifier": 2.0 doubles crafting speed and TraderModifiers > RestockTimerModifier changes how long traders take to restock. Every multiplier defaults to 1.0.

How to change a multiplier

Stop the server

Stop the server.

Open your game settings file

In the File Manager, open save-data/Settings/ServerGameSettings.json. If it doesn’t exist, create it from the default file; see server settings explained.

Edit the values

For a faster game with double resources and loot:

"MaterialYieldModifier_Global": 2.0,
"DropTableModifier_General": 2.0,
"CraftRateModifier": 2.0,
"RefinementRateModifier": 2.0,

Values inside TraderModifiers sit inside that block:

"TraderModifiers": {

  "RestockTimerModifier": 0.5
},

Leave the preset empty and restart

Keep Game Settings Preset empty on the Startup page, save and start the server.

Stay inside the ranges shown. Use a dot for decimals (1.5, not 1,5) and keep the comma at the end of each line except the last in a block.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best resource rate for a small group?

There is no single best value. Try MaterialYieldModifier_Global at 1.5 or 2 for faster building, then adjust after a play session. Raise InventoryStacksModifier too if inventories fill up.

Can I make crafting instant?

No. CraftRateModifier and RefinementRateModifier go up to 6, which is six times as fast.

Is there a ready-made easy setup?

Yes. Pick a Game Settings Preset such as StandardPvE_Easy on the Startup page. A preset replaces your own file, so use one or the other.
