Configuration via server.properties

  1. Stop the Server: You cannot regenerate a world with a new seed while it is actively loaded.
  2. Access Files: Navigate to your Files tab and open server.properties.
  3. Locate the Line: Find the line level-seed=.
  4. Enter Seed: Type your seed after the equals sign (e.g., level-seed=123456789).
  5. Reset the World: For the seed to take effect, you must delete your existing world folder (Backup first!).

Finding Great Seeds

You can find popular seeds on various community hubs:

Version Consistency

Seeds generate different terrain across major Minecraft versions. A seed that produced a mountain in 1.12 might produce an ocean in 1.21. Always ensure the seed you are using matches your server’s Minecraft version.
