Managing Radioactive Magic: Eitr

The Eitr Refinery is an essential late-game structure used to process Refined Eitr. However, while active, the machine emits “Eitr Sparks” that deal continuous physical damage to surrounding structures. If not properly contained, it will eventually destroy your entire base.

Containment Strategy

Eitr Sparks deal “Siege/Pickaxe” damage. This means standard materials will not survive exposure:
  • Wood: Destroyed almost instantly.
  • Stone: Crumbles within a few minutes of operation.
  • Iron: Highly resistant, but will eventually break.

The Solution: Black Marble

Black Marble is the only Mistlands-tier material that is entirely immune to the damage emitted by the Eitr Refinery.
  1. Designate a Room: Build a dedicated chamber made entirely of Black Marble blocks.
  2. Floor & Ceiling: Ensure the machine is sitting on marble and has a marble roof.
  3. Iron Grates: You can use iron grates for visibility, but be aware that sparks can occasionally “clipping” through narrow gaps during server desync.
Never build an Eitr Refinery inside or adjacent to a wooden longhouse. The radiation sparks can ignite fires and destroy supporting beams, leading to total structural collapse of your building.
