How to use Vulkan in Valheim (Steam)

Open Valheim's properties
In your Steam library, right-click Valheim and choose Properties.

Add the launch option
On General, type this in Launch options:

Start the game
Close the window and start Valheim. Join your server as usual.

Does Vulkan affect my Valheim server?
No. Each player chooses their own graphics API. Players with and without Vulkan can play on the same server together. Server performance depends on the server and the world, not on players’ graphics settings. If players lag on your server, check server statistics and the console instead.Frequently asked questions
Should I use Vulkan for Valheim?
Try it if the game crashes or runs badly on your graphics card. Iron Gate added it because it “might fix some random crashes related to GPU drivers”. If it is worse, remove the option.Can I set Vulkan in the Game Panel?
No. There is no graphics setting for a dedicated server, because the server has no screen.Does every player need Vulkan to join?
