Managing Network DNS Resolvers


Managing the DNS (Nameservers) settings of your Virtual Private Server is crucial for ensuring proper network connectivity and potentially improving response times.

Step 1: Access Network Settings

  1. Log in to the VPS Control Panel.
  2. Identify your VPS from the dashboard and click on Manage.
  3. Inside the management interface, navigate to the Network tab.

Step 2: Configure Resolvers

  1. Scroll down to the section labeled IPv4 Public DNS Resolvers.
  2. Enter your desired addresses into the Primary DNS and Secondary DNS fields.
    • Tip: Common fast resolvers include Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8).

Step 3: Apply Changes

  1. Click Submit or Update.
  2. For the changes to take effect, you must restart the VPS from the power controls in the panel.

Why Change DNS?

Default resolvers are usually reliable, but switching to public resolvers like Cloudflare can offer faster lookups and better protection against DNS-based attacks.
