Automating Your Backups

Follow these steps to establish a recurring backup routine.

Access Backups Tab

Log in to the Cloud Portal, click Manage on your VPS, and open the Backups tab.

Open Scheduler

Click the Schedule button to reveal the automation options.

Configure Frequency

  • Daily: Select the hour of day for the backup.
  • Weekly: Select the specific days of the week.

Save Settings

Click Update. The first backup will initialize at your selected time.

Restoring from a Backup

Restoring a backup will revert your entire virtual disk to that previous state.

Select Recovery Point

Browse your list of completed backups in the Backups tab.

Trigger Restoration

Click the Restore button next to your desired date.

Confirm and Reboot

Confirm your choice. The server will shut down, restore the data, and restart automatically.

Backup Management Insights

Our system keeps a rotating set of backups. Once your storage limit is reached, you must manually delete older backups to allow new ones to be created.
While snapshots are instant recovery points stored locally, our Backups system provides additional redundancy by storing data on separate, specialized storage nodes.

Destructive Restoration

Restoring a backup will permanently delete all files and modifications made after that backup’s creation date. Ensure you have saved any current work before restoring.
