Remote Access via VNC Console

Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is an out-of-band management interface. It provides a direct view of the virtualized video output, functioning even if your networking or SSH/RDP services are broken. This makes it the primary tool for emergency recovery.

Launching the Console

Follow these steps to access the interactive terminal from your browser.
1

Access Options

Log in to the Cloud Portal, click Manage on your VPS, and open the Options tab.
2

Select VNC Sub-tab

Inside Options, ensure you are on the VNC menu.
3

Launch Console

Click the Browser VNC button. A new interactive window will open showing your server’s screen.

Technical Tips

Use the hidden sidebar on the left of the VNC window (revealed by hovering) to send special key combinations that your physical keyboard might not transmit.
If the screen is black, your VPS might be in a sleep state. Try clicking inside the window or pressing any key. If it remains black, perform a Restart from the dashboard.

Usage Scenarios

  • Fixing a firewall that blocked SSH access.
  • Repairing /etc/network/interfaces or netplan configs.
  • Performing a manual OS installation from a Custom ISO.
