Troubleshooting via Cache
“Clear your cache” is the most common advice in the FiveM community for a reason. Because FiveM compiles scripts and stores map data locally to speed up loading, these files can occasionally become corrupted or outdated, leading to game-breaking glitches.

1. Resetting the Server Cache
Perform this if you have updated a script or map on the server, but the changes (or errors) from the old version persist.- Stop your server via the FREAKHOSTING panel.
- Open the Files tab.
- Locate the
cachefolder in the root directory. - Delete the entire
cachefolder. (Do not touch/resources/). - Start the server. It will take slightly longer to initialize while it re-compiles your assets.
2. Resetting the Client Cache
If a specific player is crashing but the rest of your community is fine, the issue is on the player’s local machine.- Close FiveM.
- Right-click the FiveM icon and select Open File Location.
- Open
FiveM Application Data>data. - Delete the following folders:
cache,server-cache, andserver-cache-priv. - Restart FiveM and rejoin the server.
