Managing AI Players

By default, Counter-Strike 2 servers may fill empty slots with AI-controlled bots. To enhance your server’s competitive integrity and ensure only human players participate, you can disable or restrict the bot quota via your configuration files.

Adjusting the Bot Quota

To remove all bots from your server, you must set the quota to zero in your server.cfg.
  1. Access your FREAKHOSTING Control Panel and open the Files tab.
  2. Navigate to /game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg.
  3. Add or modify the following line:
    bot_quota 0

  4. Save and Restart your server.

Cleaning Up Mid-Match

If bots are currently present in your server and you want to remove them without a restart:
  1. Open your console (or the panel console).
  2. Type bot_kick.
  3. This will immediately remove every active AI player from the current session.

Training with Bots

If you are running a practice or training server, you can use bot_add to manually spawn a single bot for target practice, even if the bot_quota is set to 0.
