To disable bots in CS2 for good, open Server settings in the Game Panel, set Bots to 0 under Chat, bots and cheats, review, save and restart. To remove bots right now, type bot_kick in the server console, then bot_quota 0 so the game doesn’t add new ones. bot_kick ct or bot_kick t removes the bots from one team only.

How to disable bots in the Game Panel

Open Server settings

Open your server and click Server settings under COUNTER-STRIKE 2 in the sidebar.

Set Bots to 0

Under Rules > Chat, bots and cheats, set Bots to 0 (0 means no bots).

Review and save

Click Review and save, then Save changes.

Restart the server

Restart the server. It now starts without bots.

Command to remove bots in CS2

Type these in the Console in the panel:
A console change lasts until the next restart. The Bots number in Server settings decides how many bots the server starts with, so set it to 0 too.

To keep bots but fewer of them, set Bots to a number such as 2 and Bot skill to the level you want.

Why do bots come back after bot_kick?

The server adds bots back up to bot_quota, and the Bots setting sets that number at every start. Type bot_quota 0 now and set Bots to 0 in Server settings.

How do I disable bot AI in CS2?

Type sv_cheats 1 and then bot_stop 1. Bots stand still and don’t shoot. Use bot_stop 0 to turn them back on. See enable sv_cheats.

Does bot_kick need sv_cheats?

No. bot_kick and bot_quota work without cheats.

Can players kick bots themselves?

Only with admin rights from a plugin. See add admins.
