Managing Service Termination

If you no longer need a service hosted with FREAKHOSTING, you can submit a cancellation request directly from your Client Area. This stops future invoices and schedules the service for termination. Follow the steps below to make sure your request is processed correctly.

Cancellation Procedure

Submitting a request ensures that no further invoices are generated for the selected service.

Log in to the Client Area

Sign in to the FREAKHOSTING Client Area with your registered email and password.

Open My Services

From the left sidebar, go to Services → My Services to see your active products.

Start the Cancellation Request

Click the Actions button (the menu) next to the service and choose Request Cancellation. You can also open the service’s Product Details page and click Request Cancellation there. Either option opens the Account Cancellation Request page.

Describe Your Reason

In the Briefly Describe your reason for Cancellation box, enter your reason. This field is required and must be at least 15 characters long.

Choose a Cancellation Type

Set the Cancellation Type dropdown to either Immediate or End of Billing Period. It defaults to Immediate, so change it to End of Billing Period if you want to keep using the time you have already paid for (see below).

Submit the Request

Click the red Request Cancellation button to confirm, or click Cancel to go back without making any changes. Once submitted, your cancellation is scheduled and you receive a confirmation email.

Choosing Your Cancellation Type

When you submit the form, you must specify when the service should terminate.
Recommended: Your service stays fully operational until the end of your current paid term. You get to use the time you have already paid for, and no further invoices are generated.

What Happens After You Submit

The cancellation is logged against the service. If you chose End of Billing Period, the service keeps running until its next due date and is then terminated; if you chose Immediate, it is queued for termination shortly after you submit.
You receive an email confirming the cancellation request and the scheduled termination date.
If you submitted a request by mistake or want to keep the service, open a support ticket as soon as possible. Our team can withdraw a pending cancellation before it is processed.

Critical Data Notice

Data Preservation & Backups

  • Permanent Deletion: Once the termination date is reached, all data associated with the service is permanently deleted from our nodes.
  • Manual Backup: We strongly recommend downloading a full backup of your world files, databases, and configurations via your control panel or SFTP before the service is terminated, especially for an immediate cancellation.
  • Refund Eligibility: Submitting a cancellation does not automatically issue a refund. See our Refund Policy to check whether you qualify.
