Move your FREAKHOSTING server to another region for lower ping. Learn how to request the change and what happens to your IP address and data.
Hosting your server close to your players or visitors gives them lower ping and a smoother experience. If you picked the wrong region, or your community has moved, you can change location from the Billing Area.
Moving to a new location always gives your server a new IP address. Take a backup, and let your players or users know about the new address and the short downtime.
In the Actions menu on the left, click Upgrade/Downgrade Options.

Choose the new region
In the Location row, open the New Configuration dropdown and pick a region, for example [US] Los Angeles, USA. The price difference (if any) is shown next to each region.

Continue and pay
Click Continue and complete checkout. Leave every other row on No Change.

Confirm the move with us
Open a ticket in the department for your product (for example VPS & Dedicated Servers or Game Server Support). Tell us you’re ready to move and that you understand the IP address will change.
