Sometimes our team needs a password to help you, for example your server’s root password or a WordPress login. Never paste it into a ticket as plain text. Use Share a secret to send it as an encrypted, one-time link.

How it protects you

  • The secret is encrypted on your device with AES-256 before anything is sent.
  • The key to unlock it stays in the link (after the #) and never reaches our servers.
  • Only FREAKHOSTING staff, signed in with company accounts, can open it.
  • It can be opened once, then it’s permanently wiped. Unopened links expire automatically.
Your shared secrets at the bottom of the page lists what you’ve shared in the last 30 days and whether each link has been opened.
Once we’ve finished helping you, change the password you shared. For your Billing Area password, use Change Password.
